New Gymnastics Building

A purpose built 4250 sq ft building will be built to house the gymnastics studio, complete with a specially sprung floor.

Plans are already underway for The City of Lancaster Gymnastics Club to move into the building.

Chairperson of the club, Marie Gardner, has already met with the owners of the park to transform the new building into a top class training venue.

The chairperson, said: “We’ve been looking for another venue for a while now, as we wanted to keep it close to the existing facilities at the University.

“Lots of parents bring their children to us after school and at weekends, so we wanted somewhere that’s easy to get to, with good parking.

The Lancaster Food and Drink Festival was a complete success with a whopping 8,500 visitors over the two days.

A multi award-winning disabled children’s charity, Unique Kidz and Co’s dream for a new purpose built centre of excellence is on the way to becoming a reality with the building now taking shape at Lancaster Leisure Park.

But the charity urgently needs to raise £75,000 before April next year so that it can equip the centre with the essential equipment it needs to open.
